New Update Story
New Update on June 15, 2020: Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 users are literally waiting for the official stable Android 10 update for a couple of months. However, there is no official announcement available yet by the Asus itself. Meantime, fake news appears on Twitter that has a screenshot which includes the wrong information about the release date of Android 10 for the Zenfone Max Pro M2.
Though the screenshot looks very genuine and official, Asus India’s official Twitter handle has confirmed that there is no such information released by the company yet and it’s fake news to just fool users. Now, talking about the fake news, it includes that the much-awaited Android 10 update for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Max Pro M2 will arrive on June 20, 2020. The update will roll out in batches. But unfortunately, this whole information is completely fake.
As of now, all the eagerly awaited Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 users should have to wait for the official announcement on the official channels.
New Update on May 27, 2020: Today Asus rolled April 2020 security patch along with bug fixes and improvements to the Android 10 beta build which upgrades the version to 17.2018.2004.424. For more info, check out the changelog to the version 17.2018.2004.424.
Asus, the Taiwanese smartphone giant has been pretty slow in upgrading its phone to the latest Android 10 updates. Although the company has been like that since the beginning, however, since the Android 10 update is already over 6 months old and we are already seeing the early builds of the latest Android 11 update by Google, it is high time that all the OEMs should start releasing the Android 10 update as soon as possible. The Android 10 update for the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 was slated that it will take some time in hitting all the units, as the company wants to bring the best possible Android experience for the users.
However, in a surprising turn of events, it seems like as per the Asus customer support, the Android 10 update has already been released and users can grab the update by checking for the update notification in their mobiles. Why this is surprising because the update has neither been reported by the company nor has, up till now, been reported by any user of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 on any platform or community. This is a clear case of lack of knowledge by the Asus’ customer support because they clearly do not seem to have any idea regarding the status of the Android 10 update for the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2.
Moreover, the company has also not made the ROM available on their software update page. This clearly hints that the Android 10 update is still nowhere near for the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 and users of the device will have to wait for some more time before they can get their hands on the Android 10 update for the Max Pro M2. In the meantime, you need to wait for any official confirmation, and we will keep you posted if there is any new information in this regard.
With Android 10 OS, it brings plenty of new features to the device system like system UI, new gesture navigation, improved privacy and location control. The update also offers enhanced app permissions, foldable display support, security features, system-wide dark mode, etc. Along with the Android 10 feature, this version 17.2018.1912.409 bumps the security patch to December 2019.
Now, if you’re an Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 user and waiting for the latest Android 10 update for a while, then check out the software update on your device manually via the phone Settings > System > Software Update.
