When we talk about mobile cameras or mobile photography, we’ve come ahead miles than we’ve before, at least a couple of years ago. Smartphone cameras are now much more powerful, advanced enough with AI, and there are plenty of additional modes or features that we didn’t even think of before. All of these become possible once Google has released its Pixel series devices with the stock Google Camera app. Now, everyone wants to be installed the Google Camera app on their Android devices and the Mi 10T series users are no exception here. You can now download Google Camera for Mi 10T, 10T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite easily.
The Chinese OEM Xiaomi is a trendsetter when it comes to affordable flagship-killer devices apart from the budget & mid-budget segment. Other smartphone manufacturers hardly can compete with Xiaomi devices and even when the MIUI skin is one of the polished stock UI. However, we can also say that due to the lack of powerful AI algorithm development, Xiaomi device cameras can’t perform stunningly like Google Pixel devices.
In the end, Google Camera wins the race even with a noticeable margin just because of the image quality whether it’s daylight or nighttime. There is no second thought that the GCam app is by far one of the best in class camera apps in the Android community. That’s why some of the hard-working ported Gcam app developers are extracting the latest and most stable Google Camera app builds for almost every Android device. So, if you also feel that your Mi 10T series device isn’t giving you excellent output in camera performance, check this post.

Steps to Enable Astrophotography Mode on GCam (Mi 10T Series)
- Launch Google Camera > Go to Settings.
- Scroll down a bit and tap on Advanced.
- Scroll down at the bottom of the page and turn on ‘Use Astrophotography Mode’ toggle.
- You’re done.
Make sure to capture the Astrophotography image or Night Sight image using a stand or tripod for stability. Unless your camera gets static the Night Sight mode won’t work that well. The Astrophotography Mode only works on the Night Sight feature.
