vivo has unveiled its new smartphone, the vivo Y50 on 13th April 2020. This comes with a 6.5-inch display, Snapdragon 865, quad rear cameras, 8/12GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, 4000mAh battery, and runs on Android 10. The Quad camera on the device labels with a 13MP primary sensor + 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor + 2MP macro sensor. Finally, it also gets a 2MP depth sensor. This SoC is built on the 11mm process, and the octa-core setup includes four Kryo 260 Gold cores clocked at 2.0GHz, and the other four Kyro 260 Silver cores clocked at 1.8GHz. To the GPU side, this SoC pairs with the Adreno 610 GPU.

Coming to the memory options available in this device, it is available in only a single variant, i.e., with 8GB of RAM. This comes with 128GB of internal storage. Further, this onboard storage is also expandable via a micro SD card up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on the latest Funtouch 10.0 that is based on Android 10.

Talking about optics, the Vivo Y50 comes with the quad rear camera setup. This camera setup includes a 13MP primary sensor with an aperture value of f/2.2 and with PDAF. This primary sensor gets assisted by a secondary 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor with an aperture value of f/2.2. And a tertiary 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture value. Finally, it also gets a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture value of f/2.4. To the front, the device gets a 16MP sensor with an aperture value of f/2.0.

The Vivo Y50 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, which charges over a USB type C port. The device also comes with support for 15W Flash charging tech. Talking about the biometric options available in this device, it has a physical rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and as well as support for face unlock. The device is available in two color options, namely the Starry Black and Iris Blue.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, LE. GPS with A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS. FM radio, USB 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. Sensors other than the fingerprint scanner include accelerometer, proximity, and compass. The brand is yet to announce the pricing, and it would be priced under the 20,000 segment.

The Google Camera features HDR, HDR+, HDR+ enhanced, RAW, ZSL, Flash, AR Stickers, Night Sight, Portrait mode, etc. It also offers Super Res Zoom, AR Emojis, Google Lens, TimeLapse, Slow-Motion, Image Stabilization, Photosphere, and more. While the video recording also comes out clear and sharp as compared to the other stock camera apps.

Steps to install Google Camera on vivo Y50

Download any GCam app

  • Download GCam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.4.032219.1950: Download [Recommended]

  • Download GCam by Arnova8G2: Download

  • Download Google Camera Go

  • 4PDA Camera post: Download

  • Download the GCam APK file from the download link above and tap on it.

  • Make sure that the Unknown Sources option is enabled on your device. In order to this, go to the device Settings menu > Security/Privacy > enable it. [If already enabled, skip to the installation]

  • It will launch the package installer and tap on the Install button.
