Pre-Requisites
- This firmware is to be exclusively installed on Xiaomi Mi A1.
- Ensure your device must have full battery charge.
- You need a Laptop/PC and micro USB cable to perform this Action.
- You should be running a Stock Firmware on your phone(Custom ROM users not eligible)
- Back Up your Data before flashing any updates.
- Install the MI A1 USB drivers.
- Install the ADB Tool (Windows/MAC-OS)
Steps to flash the Android 8.1 Oreo Firmware on Mi A1
Step-1 First Install the ABD utility on your PC
Step-2 Download the firmware zip file.
Step-3 Move the firmware to the folder where ADB is installed.
Step-4 Switch off device and press Vol Down + Power button to enter recovery mode.
Step-5 Choose and select Apply update through ADB.
Step-6 Now connect your phone to the PC/laptop using the micro USB cable.
Step-7 In the ADB folder right click + Shift Key to open the Powershell window.
Step-8 As it opens, type the command below to check the connection status. If connected properly you will get a device ID and message of connection acknowledgment.
